Christmas mince pie that everyone wanted to have more

Are you already fed up with mince pies? There are still a few days of pie time left so here is an alternative recipe for those of you who have already enjoyed one too many of the traditional ones.  In addition, children might prefer this filling more than the traditional plum jam. So you might end up baking these several times 🙂

In this recipe the traditional star shape will turn into a Christmas tree. You need puff paste, Nutella, lightly whipped egg and icing sugar for decoration. Place two pastry sheets on top of each other and spread Nutella between them. Then cut to the shape of a tree and twist the branches a few rounds. Add some whipped egg over the pies and place them in the oven. Apply some snow decoration when the pastries have slightly cooled down and enjoy!
